Walter was VERY excited to go to school for the halloween parade and party. He wore the mask for an hour solid before school, and he nagged me into leaving early. We were the first ones at school that morning!

Sick Puppies!
Jill and I went to see Sick Puppies at the Hard Rock on Friday night. Had a great time. The band was fun, good crowd, and sushi dinner beforehand! Life is good.

A Fairytale Moment
Last night, Nora lost her second tooth. The toothfairy came during the night and left a little money. She also left behind some lovely iridescent fairy dust. This morning, Nora was very excited. Alek reminded her that Tinkerbell put pixie dust on the Darlings. She went back upstairs and came down with more of the fairy dust on her hands. She spread it on her arms and with a very hopeful yet tentative expression.... She slowly flapped her arms.
There was no flight, but the moment was magical nonetheless.

Alek Meets A Lengend, not a Myth
On Saturday, October 2nd, Alek and his baseball teammates got to meet Roger Clemens and have batting practice with him at his home. Alek's coach played high school ball with Clemens, and the two have remained friends!
Alek and the boys met him, warmed up with him, and then he pitched several balls to each boy. He gave Alek a tip about his swing that Alek said makes a huge difference. Too cool.
And what did Alek have to say to Mr. Clemens? What else?!? "I saw you on Mythbusters!" Yep. He had something to talk to him about as he'd seen the episode on which Clemens helps the guys test out some old baseball myths. And so finally, all those hours spent watching Mythbusters paid off!
