Friends in Middle Places
They say it pays to have friends in high places. Well, I'm sure that it's true, but we can attest to the fact that it's also a good thing to have at least one friend in middle places - like the Middle East. Said friend not only procured for Monkey One the newest and coolest JFK book, but also made sure it contained the autographs of the author and co-author (currently also residing in the middle east) and an extra. TWO of these three are former agents (Gerald Blaine and Clint Hill) who were assigned to the Kennedy Detail on the day of the assassination. If you know anything about Monkey One, you know this was BIG. He immediately and without and need of reference began pointing out these agents on the cover and in interior pics. He then began reminding me of famous footage of these guys that we've all seen if we've seen motorcade footage.
Not only was he thrilled to get it, but he's about halfway through this book and continually retelling little snippets from it. Did you know that the agents had to pull weapons on and kill a would-be-attacker of the Kennedy kids? Yep. A snake. Bang bang - it died, and they all agreed not to tell anyone at the time. Did you know that one boosted Jackie so enthusiastically onto her horse that she went up and completely over the horse? Well, we do. He's just getting to the day of the assassination in the book. I'm sure I'll learn a lot.
THANK YOU SHARON! As always, you are amazing.

Spring Break Day 1: Check!
My synopsis of this movie:
Good moms are strict. If kids are well-behaved, Martians will notice, kidnap the mom, and take them to Mars to have their Mom Skills extracted. Once extracted, the mom disintegrates (and sometimes the kids accidentally see this happen! Awesome!).
Why do they extract the Mom Skills? Well, Martian women all have to work so Nannybots raise the children... well, the girl children. What? No boys? Of course boys are born, but soon after birth they are separated from the girls and thrown down the garbage chute to fend for themselves in the great underground Mars dump.
Why, you ask? Well, the old ladies think Martian men are so stupid and useless that they are trash. Yep. Trash. It's been going on so long that the men have lost the ability for speech and coherent behavior. They are dreadlocked stoners who dance and pick through trash all day. Oh, and take care of the trashed baby boys. They are apes. The women run everything. But.... they are so unhappy without families and men.
So... resolution? Old woman gets ousted. The women dance - but not with the men. And the star female Martian falls in love with a human man. Oh, and ONE mom gets saved.
Seriously. I'm still reeling.

A Snowy Fairy Tale
It was gorgeous. Lots of snowfall, just enough sun, and we had the makings for a lovely long weekend. The interesting thing was watching the boys. I got an idea of what it must be like for men to hang around women and their girlfriends. They helped each other get dressed, primped and readied for the slopes..
Proud in their new clothes...
Because of a little stunt early in the month - you know - where I fainted at a 30 Seconds to Mars concert and apparently cracked my tailbone - along with other careless activities that didn't help in the healing process, I decided not to ski. So....
While the boys skiied, this is pretty much what I did... well, after shopping....

The Talent Is, Quite Simply, Phenomenal
This is the serenade I received while washing windows - for 30 minutes straight.
